Grant Tracy’s journey in the wildlife industry began in the 1980s, when he had the privilege of working as a labourer with a game capture team during his school holidays.
These early experiences provided him with invaluable insight into the intricacies of wildlife capture operations and logistics. By the late 1980s, Grant had committed to the industry full-time, co-founding and managing a game capture team for five years. In 1994, he partnered with the late Jerry du Plessis to establish Tracy & du Plessis Game Capture. Under their leadership, the company evolved into a globally respected entity, known for its professionalism, innovation, and ethical standards. Grant remains at the forefront of the industry, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation in an ever-changing environmental and regulatory landscape. His forward-thinking approach and deep-rooted passion for wildlife conservation have earned him a reputation as a pioneer in the field. Today, Grant and his wife Colette have built and maintained long-standing relationships with clients across Southern Africa and beyond, grounded in trust, integrity, and a shared commitment to conservation excellence
