Alex (MSc, FCA, DChA) is a senior academic at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), City, University of London and director of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness (CCE).
She has extensive multi-sector leadership experience, combing a senior career in finance, with university education. She has spent over a decade working with the nonprofit sector, as an adviser, educator and board member. Alex’s experience enables her to bridge commercial and nonprofit sectors to support those seeking to create maximum social value. She has a particular interest in nonprofit collaborations and mergers. Alex holds fellowships at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the RoyalGeographical Society and the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce and sits on the Board of the international Nonprofit Academic Centers Council. She supports the next generation of women leaders, currently chairs the board of the Bayes Global Women’s Leadership Programme and is a member of the International Women’s Forum. Alex is a lifelong geographer with her interest in Southern African community development first ignited as an undergraduate and pursued from the sidelines ever since. She is delighted to have the opportunity to support Conserve in its drive for community conservation.
