Emídio is an ecologist committed to promoting environmental sustainability and community development in Mozambique.
With a strong foundation as a Junior Researcher at the Natural History Museum of Maputo (2013-2017) and as Conservation Education Manager at Gorongosa National Park (2018-2020), he spearheaded programs that integrate biodiversity conservation with community empowerment.
From 2020 to 2024, he led the MozbioII programme at Maputo National Park, where he facilitated the creation of the Mwai Association and the Community Conservation Area. Currently, he is the Community Programmes Manager at Conserve Global, overseeing initiatives that foster community engagement in conservation efforts.
He holds a degree in ecology and is completing a Masters in Integrated Management Systems of Quality, Environment, Safety and Health. His expertise further includes environmental consultancy, biodiversity research, and conservation leadership, with a strong emphasis on social inclusion and sustainable development.
