A lifetime hotelier, having trained in the UK and Europe, Jon has experience at every level of hospitality in a wide range of countries and properties.
Currently running his own hospitality consultancy having spent 25 years in senior roles with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Hotel Collection, the last 20 of which as CEO of Virgin Limited Edition, running, developing and expanding Sir Richard’s private collection of retreats throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Morocco, Kenya and South Africa.
Aside from running the Collection, Jon also developed a real passion for community development, sustainable relationships and enterprise supported by Foundations founded and funded by the Collection Properties.
Jon led the development of Mahli Mzuri in the newly created Motorogi Conservancy in the Massai Mara and with the community leaders set strategies for local employment and development. The ongoing success of the camp, the conservancy and numerous local improvements in education, are some of his proudest moments.
As a Trustee of Conserve Global, Jon has the opportunity to bring this experience together with wider hospitality skills and experiences to the table with the commercial and brand awareness that working with Sir Richard and The Virgin Group brings.
